It’s really quite devastating when you find a cool t-shirt in a store, and you think that it will set you apart, and… you see someone else wearing it. It’s like two high school girls wearing the same prom dress, but not involving such an expensive investment; much more mundane, but also, much more frequent. So, what can you do, especially when you have artsy Woot tees going out in the thousands, and other tee shirt outlets, from brick-and-mortar stores to online magnates like SnorgTees flooding the market with identical creations?
This is what ooShirts lives for; you can personalize your own t-shirt in a way that is unique to only you. There will be a 0% chance that someone else will walk down the street with the same shirt as you, unless you want that to be the case, because you’ll control the number of copies printed. Thus, here at ooShirts, you can have a shirt that’s unique in the world, thanks to our personalized t-shirt printing.

They weren’t always called the Pittsburgh Steelers. At first, they were called the Pittsburgh Pirates. As the Pirates, the franchise didn’t do great. They lost their first match to the New York Giants on September 20, 1933 by a landslide. The score was 23 to 2, but from that day on there was a professional football team in Pittsburgh.

The 1930′s didn’t give the team too much to dream about. They never finished better than second place though they did make history by paying the highest contract in the history of the NFL. These days, many players make more, but the player they signed achieved more in his career than anyone thought possible, Byron White eventually became a Supreme Court Judge!

In 1940 the team changed their name to the Steelers. It wasn’t until the late 1940s that the Steelers managed to make it to a playoff game. They lost to the Philadelphia Eagles and didn’t go to the playoffs again for more than two decades. From 1947 to 1972 the Pittsburgh Steelers were much loved underdogs in the NFL, but they couldn’t seem to win a championship.

Change is good and in 1970, the team changed stadiums, changed conference, and they also got a new coach. Coach Chuck Knoll brought the Steelers the incredible talent it needed to become one of the great teams in history. Terry Bradshaw, Jack Ham, Mike Webster, Franco Harris, Lynn Swann, Jack Lambert, John Stallworth, and Mean Joe Green were one of the most powerful squads to ever take the field and under Knoll’s expert leadership and coaching, the Steelers went to the playoffs in eight seasons during the 1970′s and became the only NFL team in history to win four Super Bowls in six years. In fact, they were the first NFL team to ever win more than two Super Bowls.

The Steelers dominated the 1970s but the 1980′s started out with the same kind of difficulties the team had faced before the era of disco. From injuries to the retirement of key members of the squad, things didn’t go well for the Steelers in the 1980′s. In 1987 it looked like the Steelers might be back, but possibly because of the players strike that year, they missed the playoffs. In 1989 they did make it to the second round, but that was it. The 1990′s weren’t looking too great for the team either as the decade began with two seasons of no playoffs. Coach Chuck Knoll retired in 1992.

The new coach came from Pittsburgh but had been working for the Kansas City Chiefs. Bill Cowler was the new energy the team was looking for and under his coaching the team made it to the playoffs every year during the his first six as coach. In 1995 the Steelers were again playing in the Super Bowl but they were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys.

In 2005, the Seattle Seahawks weren’t so lucky and the Steelers had another ring to add to their collection. The Steelers were only the third team to win five Super Bowls. In 2007, Mike Tomlin took over the coaching of the team. Tomlin was the first non-white coach in the teams three quarters of a century. Mike Tomlin let the team to their sixth Super Bowl win in 2008-2009 and was named coach of the year in 2008 by Motorola. He is the youngest coach to ever go to the Super Bowl and the second African American coach to ever lead a team there.

One thing is certain, the Pittsburgh Steelers should never be counted out. As a franchise dynasty they will continue to draw crowds, win championships, and make fans of all ages proud to wear the black and gold.

Since Facebook released the ‘Like’ button to the world at the end of April there has been a mad scramble to harness the viral power of the Like button. We’ve seen hidden I-Frame scripts, buggy directories, and blatant phishing attempts.

The fact of the matter is though, that someone is going to harness it.

Thus far, it is still early, but we favor the script at http://www.likelike.us

It’s easy, seems to work well, and the price tag isn’t astronomical.

Go have a look and if you want the script for yourself you will easily find it at the ‘Buy this Script’ tab.

The saucy sexy old Golden Girl ‘Blanche’ was the final of the early June celebrity deaths come in 3s.

Rue McClanahan. She was 76 years old. She was more than just a ‘Golden Girl’. She was cool. Like Gary Coleman and Dennis Hopper, she made people feel like they were important.

The actress Rue McClanahan is dead in the United States. She was known on the small screens for her role in the series The Golden Girls …

Rue McClanahan died at the age of 76, the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the United States. ? ? The actress who was also a producer, reportedly died of a stroke after long trials due to her health problems.

Rue McClanahan was born in Healdton, Oklahoma, where she grew up before getting out on Broadway 41 years now, as she played the role of Sally in the musical Weber Jimmy Shine with Dustin Hoffman. But soon television actress who becomes infatuated that appear in the series Maude in the period 1972-1978 (adapted Antenne 2 and renamed Maggie), but especially from the Golden Girls between 1985 and 1992. She played Blanche Devereaux, a southerner eater of men and owner of an estate she shared with her roommates Dorothy Zbornak (Beatrice Arthur), Rose Nylund (Betty White) and Sophia Petrillo (Estelle Getty). Her appearances are numerous in the series or telefilms and we note its participation in 1998 to a Columbo entitled In Larger pumps.

Militant animal rights, vegetarian, she had joined the ranks of the famous (and provocative) PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). This did not prevent her from worrying about the fate of her compatriots by supporting the Democrats and, recently, Barack Obama U.S. presidential candidate then. One of her last roles was for fiction A Memory Eternal is now in charge of reality.

Who is the third going to be? First was Gary Coleman, now Dennis Hopper, my guess is that it will be a female singer…Madonna? Maria Carey? Beyonce?

Hollywood actor Dennis Hopper, best known for directing and starring in the 1969 cult classic “Easy Rider,” died on Saturday from complications of prostate cancer, a friend of the actor said. Hopper was 74.

The hard-living screen star died at his home in the coastal Los Angeles suburb of Venice at 8:15 a.m. PDT (1515 GMT), surrounded by family and friends, the friend, Alex Hitz, told Reuters.

In a wildly varied career spanning more than 50 years, Hopper appeared alongside his mentor James Dean in “Rebel Without a Cause” and “Giant” in the 1950s and played maniacs in such films as “Apocalypse Now,” “Blue Velvet” and “Speed.”

He received two Oscar nominations — for writing “Easy Rider” (with co-star Peter Fonda and Terry Southern), and for a rare heartwarming turn as an alcoholic high-school basketball coach in the 1986 drama “Hoosiers.”

But his prodigious drug abuse, temper tantrums, propensity for domestic violence and poor choice of movie roles often made him a Hollywood pariah.

Hopper felt over-indulgence was a requirement for great artists. He once claimed he snorted lines of cocaine “as long as your arm every five minutes, just so I could carry on drinking … gallons” of alcohol.

Still, his legacy rests securely on “Easy Rider.” Regarded as one of the greatest films of American cinema, it helped usher in a new era in which the old Hollywood guard was forced to cede power to young filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese.

Gary Coleman of ‘Whatchu talkin bout Willis?’ fame died today. last year at about this time it was Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, and Ed McMahon. I’m wondering who the next two are going to be…

I’m saying Erik Estrada and Heather Locklear. But then maybe it will be someone else. Hard to say…

PROVO, Utah – Gary Coleman, the child star of the smash 1970s TV sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes” whose later career was marred by medical and legal problems, died Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 42.

Life support was terminated and Coleman died at 12:05 p.m. MDT with family and friends at his side, Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said.

Coleman, with his sparkling eyes and perfect comic timing, became a star after “Diff’rent Strokes” debuted in 1978. He played Arnold Jackson, the younger one of a pair of African-American brothers adopted by a wealthy white man.

“It’s unfortunate. It’s a sad day,” said Todd Bridges, who played the older brother Willis. “It’s sad that I’m the last kid alive from the show.”

Dana Plato, who played the boys’ white, teenage sister, committed suicide in 1999. Bridges was tried and acquitted of attempted murder.

Coleman’s popularity faded when the show ended after six seasons on NBC and two on ABC.

Coleman suffered continuing ill health from the kidney disease that stunted his growth and had a host of legal problems in recent years.

He suffered the brain hemorrhage Wednesday at his Santaquin home, 55 miles south of Salt Lake City.

A statement from the family said he was conscious and lucid until midday Thursday, when his condition worsened and he slipped into unconsciousness. Coleman was then placed on life support.

“The world’s going to be a little less happy place without Gary,” said Randy Kester, Coleman’s attorney. “For being a small guy, he sure had a big impact on the world.”

Congratulations! You are here and you are reading this and that means that you already possess one of the essential ingredients for creating a money making blog. Desire.

It’s incredibly simple but not many people are able to follow this recipe. I know you can, because you are already here. Here are the other ingredients.

1) Commitment

If you don’t have enough of a desire to make a personal commitment to creating a money making blog then you won’t. It’s as simple as that. The main thing that you need to get anywhere, whether it is a place, an economic point, or a mental state is the commitment to do what it takes to get there. If you don’t have that, you should stop reading now and move on to something you are willing to commit to.

2) Knowledge

Blogging and the online world are constantly changing. You may be the most knowledgeable person in the world about your topic, but if you stop learning and gaining knowledge you will find yourself left behind by those who have the knowledge you lack. Knowledge is not just about knowing, it is also about constantly educating yourself and making yourself better than you were.

3) Paypal

On a more practical level, if you don’t yet have a Paypal account you need to get one right now. Paypal is the most widely used means of payment on the internet. Signing up is free, but you will need a bank account to confirm your account so that you have access to your money.

4) Participation

No human is an island. If you want to simply write your blog from your hermit cave and not interact with the rest of the online world, you will quickly find that no one will interact with you either. If that’s what you want, fine, but the chances of making any money with your blog are very close to zero since commerce involves more than one person. Get out there, read other blogs, sign up for forums, make comments, share your knowledge and learn from others. If you won’t participate, you won’t create a money making blog. If you do, it will be a miracle.

5) Time

If you aren’t willing to take the time to create useful and informative content, learn the latest news of your industry, network with other bloggers, or tweak your blog until it has perfect SEO then you aren’t going to make any money blogging. You can pay someone to set up a blog for you, pay for a content scraper, and never lift a finger, but honestly, do you think that’s going to work? If it did, there would be millions doing it. My suspicion is that there are millions doing just that and that they are making little to nothing. Go ahead give it a try and let me know the results. The other aspect of time is having the patience to work hard and wait for results. If you don’t bake a cake for the right amount of time, it won’t come out right. If you use the wrong ingredients, it won’t come out right. It’s simple if you follow the recipe.

So there it is, your recipe for a money making blog.

1 part desire
1 part commitment
1 part knowledge
1 part the ability to get paid
1 part participation
1 part time

Mix them all together, place in blog, put in the oven at 350 degrees, wait 3-6 months and you will have a money making blog.

It really is that easy.

I’m happy to tell you that there are a large number of folks who make the decision to make a money making blog before they actually even have a blog!

I love this. I wish I’d of had the same insight and foresight before I began blogging. For many of us, blogging is just something we started to do, enjoyed, and kept on doing. Then one day, we woke up and realized, “Hey, there are people who actually make their living doing this!” From then on, it becomes a loving pursuit and a challenge. The problem is, that in order to reach the point where we are actually making money, most of us have had to stumble through a lot of mistakes, some of them expensive, some of them counter-productive, some of them just plain stupid.

In the spirit of helping those who are just starting to avoid these stumbling blocks and those who are stumbling to find their way quicker. I offer this short article on the bare basics of creating a money making blog. If you already are blogging, I hope that there will still be some useful tools here for you to use. If you have key advice that I have somehow missed, please post in the comments and share your hard earned knowledge with the rest of us.

The Basics

When I say the basics, I mean the basics. If you want to be a blogger and create a money making blog the first thing you need is A BLOG!

You have several options. If you just want a free place to write about your topic, you can set up a blog at wordpress.com. WordPress.com is non-monetized so you can’t sell ads or work with affiliates there. They maintain a fairly strict policy so since you want to make money, I will say to you, don’t build a free blog at wordpress.com.

Blogger/Blogspot (owned by Google) is slightly less restrictive and allows Adsense and some affiliate networking. None the less, I am going to discourage you from using this or any free, hosted platform. You are serious about making money with your blog, right? So act serious. Get a blog that you have 100% control over.

Now we are talking.

Here is what you do:

1) Figure out what your blog is going to be about. Think of a name that sums that up clearly. If you are going to blog about rain jackets, then you better make sure rain jackets is in the name you choose. Got your name figured out? Is it perfect? Great. Don’t get too attached to it, chances are it is taken already. But that’s okay.

2) Go to Google and search for GoDaddy Promo codes. Look for one that is current and that gives you the cheapest price for a .com domain. Usually you can find one for around $7.49 as opposed to the $10+ that Godaddy charges. Copy that code down.

3) Go to GoDaddy and search for your domain name. If it’s not taken, try to figure out why. A good domain has your keywords, isn’t very long (the shorter the better), and clearly defines your topic. If you found it great. Register it right now. Use the promo code when you are paying. See, this article already saved you $3 and money saved really is like money earned.

If your dream domain is taken spend some time and search. It might take you hours, but you will find a good domain. I recommend you stick with .com and avoid .us, .info, .de and other extensions. .com is the mainstay, don’t settle. Okay, you’ve got your domain, register it. Go ahead and register for two years and don’t buy any of GoDaddy’s other services. You don’t want or need them. Just the domain. If you’ve registered for two years, you’ve already saved $6 by reading this article.

4) Go to the GoDaddy domain manager and change the DNS You are not going to be hosting at GoDaddy. Once your DNS are set, you can leave GoDaddy.
You won’t need to go back until you want another domain or it’s time to renew.

5) Go to Bluehost.com and sign up for their services.

6) But what about the blog? Don’t worry, I didn’t forget. Go to Bluehost.com All you need to do is navigate to ‘Fantastico’ on the control panel, then select ‘WordPress’, install new. There is no charge for this. In seconds you have a self-hosted WordPress blog, which means you can do whatever you want with it.

7)Set up your money making blog email. this is important so don’t use your college nickname “Meathead@xxxxx.com” instead make it something strong like webmaster@, ads@, or even yourname@xxxxx.com

Now, go to WordPress.org and start learning about the awesome and easy power of a self hosted WordPress blog. You are set up with the same platform as the pros now. Now you just have to learn to use it.

9) Don’t just start throwing trashy content on your blog though. Take the time to read about how the pros make money at other money making blogs like Problogger, JohnChow.com, and Money-Era.com

10) Set up a free Paypal account so that you can start collecting some cash.

Way to go Blogger! Welcome to the world of making money with your own blog. You just created your own future.

Reporting from Sacramento – A proposal to legalize and tax marijuana in California was approved by a key committee of the Assembly on Tuesday, but it is not expected to get further consideration by the Legislature until next year.

Despite a procedural glitch, backers hailed the committee’s action as historic because it represented the first legislative approval of the proposal.

“This vote marks the formal beginning of the end of marijuana prohibition in the United States,” predicted Stephen Gutwillig, California state director of the Drug Policy Alliance, a pot legalization group.

The legislation would allow those who are at least 21 years old to possess up to an ounce of marijuana for recreational use. Assemblyman Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco), author of the measure, said it would provide needed revenue for the state as well as regulation of the drug.

Existing law “is harming our youth,” Ammiano said. “Drug dealers do not ask for ID.”

It is estimated that the proposed $50 tax on each ounce of marijuana sold, along with license fees charged to cultivators, would generate $1.3 billion a year to be used to pay for drug education and treatment.

Ammiano said his bill is not expected to get a required hearing by a second committee in time to meet a Friday deadline. He said he plans to reintroduce the legislation if a similar initiative proposed for the November ballot is not approved by voters.

The anticipated revenue would not be worth the grief the bill would cause, said Assemblyman Danny Gilmore (R-Hanford), a former assistant chief with the California Highway Patrol.

“We’re going to legalize marijuana, we’re going to tax it and then we’re going to educate our kids about the harm of drugs. You’ve got to be kidding me,” Gilmore said. “What’s next? Are we going to legalize methamphetamines, cocaine?”

The Assembly Public Safety Committee approved Ammiano’s bill, AB 390, on a 4-3 vote.
