We here at Jay Pee Morgan pay close attention to the markets, trends, and key indicators. One of the things we like to watch more than any other is casinos. through the years, we’ve found that the bigger the casinos get, the less money is actually circulating in the economy. The casinos are like magic boxes where money goes in but doesn’t come out. You might think from watching television that the casinos are filled with well off, high rollers, but we find it to be quite the opposite. Look at the cars in the average casino parking lot and what you find are a lot of what we like to call ‘welfare wagons’.

When you read the marquis and it says ‘Come in and double your paycheck’, you know that they aren’t trying to appeal to CEOs and savvy business people. Want to know how to win in a casino? Go into one with a set amount of money $20, $100, $500 and be prepared to lose it. Use that money and only that money in the Casino. Any money you win on a hand of cards or a slot machine goes back to your pocket and you keep out only the original money. Don’t win a hundred and then go double up. Put the hundred in your pocket and then leave it there. Nothing comes out of your pocket. Play until you lose your stake or you win so much you don’t feel like gambling anymore (yeah, right!) Either way, at the end of the money you will have something in your pocket.

Now, along these lines, we’ve noticed some interesting trends:

The Federal Reserve’s latest measure of industrial output shows that in June, U.S. manufacturers were operating at 64.6 percent of their installed capacity. It means they are producing at more than a third below their potential, and this is the worst rate since these records began being kept in 1948. Since the recession began in December 2007, through last month, manufacturers shed 1.9 million jobs, according to the U.S. Labor Department.

And add to that the fact that Casinos are not expanding at the moment. This doesn’t mean they aren’t making money, but they don’t want you to think they are making money. They want you to think this is your big chance to win. In fact, the odds are against you when the economy is down. Our advice at the moment, is to gamble at home with friends and invest in casinos.

Now lets’ look at another great opportunity for investment, North Korea:

In 2005 North Korea suddenly realized the power of money. Their values changed accordingly and moved closer to what most of the world considers as a given. They understood that money can secure livelihood, buy power and even health, and that, unlike the state with its politically motivated favors, money is largely impartial. The socialist system of economic management and political guidance started to look outdated. The once largely egalitarian society experienced a swift diversification – suddenly there were winners and losers, many unanswered questions and growing individual ambitions. “

The beauty of our system is that no one can win unless someone else loses. Once you understand that you have the clear choice to be a winner or a loser. North Koreans gave up their egalitarian socialist values to get in on the massive casino called capitalism, now they can be winners, but will most likely be losers. Which are you?
